Episode Three.
After transferring from Bellevue College to UAA, Bishop Tosi entered his junior season of basketball happy and healthy. Unfortunately, three games into the 2023-2024 season, he endured a season ending injury. One year later, he shares with me how he felt during that time.
Episode Two.
Senior year of high school, Dorsey was diagnosed with Insomnia. In the first few months of her freshman year of college, she has had to learn how to navigate the transition from California to Alaska to pursue her volleyball career.
Episode One.
Riday Jana came all the way from India to pursue his track and field career at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. During his freshman year, he battled through a series of mental health obstacles. What he learned last year has developed him into a sharp athlete.
Introduction.
This intro episode is for you to learn a bit about me and why I'm doing this! Mind Over Muscle is all about the importance of mental health within student-athletes. I have been finding myself and my purpose as I work through generalized anxiety disorder, low self esteem due to sports, seasonal depression, ect. However, I knew there were other people out there experiencing the same thing. We are never alone.
